So now that we don't have to choose between crappy level 10 henchmen, superbuffed enemies, or partying with other people..can we make Battle for Lion's Arch awesome again?

Zaishen Mission order appears to be changed. Today is Augury Rock, and not Riverside Province as predicted based on the repeating schedule.

edit: Wiki note claims Pogahn Passage has been added to the Zaishen Mission schedule.

Not really much you couldn't already solo with H/H. Now the people who hated taking henchman get awesome heroes.

If you like playing with other people you get the advantage of access to more PVE skills and less skill micro and flagging. I'm not going to speed clear UW with heroes only.

If you like playing with other human beings nothing has changed for you. The PUG pool is going to be filled with the same people who like to PUG and the soloers are going to solo (and be happier about it).

@ Enchanted Krystal

Yeah, the screenshot in the Merc thread had a mercenary with a costume on so it should work when you take the snapshot.

If GW pve wasnt 100% solo before, now it is. Used to at least have that occasionally hard dungeon or vanq or mish that required 2 mates to group up, but now, nope.
I don't know... I'm sitting in Embark Beach and I see plenty of people posting LFGs and hooking up.

How many people have been forced to PuG over the years? People who have neither the inclination nor the desire, but felt they had no other choice if they wished to finish the content?

All ANet has done is changed things around enough so that those who do not wish to PuG have other options, and those who enjoy PUG'ing have an easier time finding one another.

I mean, I know it's a novel concept...giving people a choice, letting them enjoy the game they way they want to instead of the way others think they should...but it was a wise decision on their part.

The only reason I gave GW a chance to begin with was because I had several other gamers telling me that while it wasn't optimal, unlike most other MMORPGs, it was possible to solo the content. I despise PuGs with a passion. I had no interest in playing an MMO that forced me into them.

And I promise you, I'm not alone in that. Word is going to spread very quickly about the changes made today... and there will be a significant influx of new players as a result of this. GW may as well have launched an entirely new game today by virtue of allowing solo'ing to the degree now available... and in so doing, they've opened the door to a lot of gamers who have been alienated by MMOs for years.

It's yet another brilliant move on their part.

wow the more i read this update it makes me more sick that i wasted 9568 minutes on drunkard and decide to now change it to points like whats the point of changing titles if you are just gonna keep making them easier if we just wait.

Pretty much what I have experienced so far in speaking to people in game and looking at the chat channels.

But what's done is done, they have added the 7 heroes option and clearly there must be a majority in favour of it otherwise it wouldn't have been added to the game. Sad to see it happen from my point of view but I accept others will have a different viewpoint.

They added Pogahn Passage to the rotation which is probably why it's off schedule.

Edit: You got it at the same time as I.

The note was added by Konig des Todes with the message: "Was mentioned that it would get one a while back by Stumme and as part of the TK it at least should of been part of the build so making note."

So we'll see if it's true.

I agree.

It is in Anet best interest to appeal to the largest possible player base without.

If they can provide a great experience to PvPrs, PvErs, solo players, social players, farmers, trader tycoons, etc, why shouldn't they?

This update isn't as amazing to me as to some since I already played all the time with at least 1 person, so we already had 6 heroes (although now we can have 10 between us for urgoz/deep).

Bit disappointed that heroes don't come with weapons/runes of their characters nor can they used customized weapons for their model characters.

Now we only need PvE-only skills for heroes (especially if those will get tamed in the future).

Understand the worries of people wishing to know if they are drunk or not - 1 effect box like grog would be great.

All in all great update.

Yes it's perfectly normal.

Happened to me, too.

This is speculation on my part - but the windows affected were ones impacted by today's change: friend list, quest list (addition of Zaishen Vanquish), party list, hero panel (titles). There is new programming affecting these portions of the UI, so it makes sense that they were "reset" to a default position for everyone.

Just shift them back to where you normally use them, and they'll stay.

I love the pre searing.... (lvl 16 already)
Looking into embark beach....
Love the zaishen vanqs.... (more of a reason to vanq)
blah about minons....(cause i dont use)
Love survivor change...... (my 5 year old character can get now, however just used 90 kath hammers on another chracter)
7 heros is nice but now nobody will play with anyone else ever again....

Just gotten a pug group in embark beach...

Absolutely horrible, as I expected. The pugs that are forming are newbies that can't outfit heroes and people who suck so much they can't win even with auto pilot AI team.

I'll give this the benefit of the doubt that people are just excited about heroes at the moment and that pug groups would rebalance itself.

Otherwise, GG multiplayer game :P.

Well gamers like them some fake sense of validation. Here's your reward for clicking on a icon 10,000 times you noble soul. Sometimes you have to wonder if this stuff is for real or the government has ordered a secret virtual test run to see how much of an Idiocracy they can create.
